Part- Time Payroll Assistant

10x payroll team is looking to add a Part- Time Payroll Assistant to join our team. The Payroll Assistant will have a prominent role in this fast-paced, high growth company to ensure accuracy with current payroll processes.
Key Responsibilities: The primary duties and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
- Support the Senior Payroll Specialist with payroll activities including checking previews, validating employees’ timesheets and approvals.
- Support the Payroll team with non-US payroll activities as needed.
- Monitor payroll email for resolutions and provide responses to employees and other stakeholders.
- Assist with confirming that legally mandated and optional deductions are processed correctly.
- Assist with preparing prorated and retro pay calculations.
- Assist with reviewing payroll information for promotions, transfers, terminations, and new hires.
- Assist with researching and proposing resolution of any data conflicts that impact payroll processing.
- Assist with new State registrations and promptly respond to Federal and State notices. A good understanding of how to review and response to tax notices and setting up the tax jurisdiction, Wage & Garnishments in ADP WFN is highly desirable.
- Assist with filing and reviewing the tax amendments and related tax and fees invoices diligently.
- Assist Finance and other teams with report requests in a timely manner.
- Assist with 401k and Workers’ comp audits requests
- Support other Payroll team members with ad hoc projects as needed.
- Be willing to cover the staff on PTO by getting cross trained and learn to independently process US payroll with minimum supervision.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of experience in payroll administration in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Discretion and ability to deal appropriately with confidential data.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational, time management and prioritization skills
- Strong sense of urgency and the ability to work well under pressure
- An analytical mind with good math skills and ability to plan, prioritize, think outside of the box, and have a positive attitude is required.
- Willingness to collaborate and assist whenever, wherever
- Associate degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred.
- Experience with ADP WFN and Workday preferred.
- Familiarity with Global payroll providers preferred
Below is the base pay range for this full time position. The actual base pay will depend on several factors unique to each candidate, including one’s skills, qualifications, and experience. At 10x, base pay is also just one component of the Company’s total compensation package. This role is also eligible for 10x’s equity grants, its comprehensive health and retirement benefit programs, and its annual bonus program or sales incentive program.
