Process Scientist

About the role:
10x is seeking a detail oriented and proactive Process Scientist within the Singapore Manufacturing Operations team. This role offers the opportunity to work cross-functionally within Operations and externally with R&D teams to support technology transfers and sustaining activities necessary for the rapid expansion of 10x product lines.
The ideal candidate would have a solid working knowledge of molecular biology and good understanding of engineering concepts to contribute meaningfully towards troubleshooting QC failures and improving QC methods for novel reagents at 10x.
What you will be doing:
- Provide technical support to Production and QC teams on the day-to-day manufacturing issues, deviations and non-conformances.
- Trend Process/QC data, perform commonality analysis and cause and effect diagrams for troubleshooting and root cause investigations.
- Design and conduct experiments (eg PCR, qPCR, NGS) to verify underlying reaction mechanisms, guardband specification limits and optimize processes or QC methods using DOE methodologies.
- Analyze, interpret results and communicate recommendations to both internal and external teams
- Collaborate cross-functionally and participate actively in global discussions on Process and QC improvements to achieve higher efficiency and yields.
- Support tech transfer and implementation of new products, processes and QC methods from HQ to Singapore Manufacturing Operations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimally a Masters (PhD preferred) in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biomedical Engineering, or related field
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in academic or industry labs (process development, molecular biology, or chemical engineering).
- Familiarity with molecular biology techniques (e.g., PCR, NGS).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Open and creative mindset to work on multidisciplinary problems.
Preferred Skills and Background:
- Experience with statistical tools (JMP, Excel, DOE, SPC, or similar).
- Exposure to development of analytical method for small molecules or enzymes is a plus
- Exposure to regulated lab environments (ISO13485 or GMP) is a plus.
