Director, Talent Acquisition - Pleasanton Based
The Director of Talent Acquisition is a strategic leader and hands-on recruiter who will play a central role in one of the most challenging and rewarding talent mandates in life science technology. This role is responsible for finding and hiring rare, highly specialized talent globally across a uniquely complex and diverse set of functions, all in service of a mission to accelerate the mastery of biology.
You will lead an established TA team into its next phase, setting a higher bar for how talent acquisition operates in a fast-moving, ever-changing environment. You will modernize tools, processes, and ways of working by bringing managers, new technology, AI, and data to bear on how the team finds, engages, and closes exceptional people. You will stay personally close to the hardest searches, particularly in technology roles.
This role is a key member of the People leadership team and reports directly to the VP of People.
What You'll Do:
Own and evolve the global TA strategy, translating business priorities into a workforce and hiring plan that keeps pace with a fast-moving, ever-changing environment.
Lead and elevate an established TA team, setting a higher bar for how the function operates and fostering a culture of ownership, mentorship, and continuous improvement.
Serve as a true player-coach, staying personally close to the work and leaning into searches across the organization as needed, bringing particular depth and expertise to Senior Level hiring as well as R&D and science.
Cultivate deep networks and trusted relationships with senior leaders and hiring managers, developing active talent pipelines and serving as a sought-after strategic advisor and thought partner on talent across the business.
Modernize how TA operates by bringing new technology, AI, and data to bear on how the organization finds, engages, and closes exceptional people.
Build a metrics-driven function where dashboards, capacity models, and pipeline analytics drive decisions, forecast hiring needs, and continuously improve outcomes.
Operate as a strategic partner to the People Team and the business, ensuring TA is fully integrated into the broader people strategy.

Below is the base pay range for this full-time position. The actual base pay will depend on several factors unique to each candidate, including one’s skills, qualifications, and experience. At 10x, base pay is also just one component of the Company’s total compensation package.
