Description

Responsible for participating in the planning, implementation and maintenance of the cost accounting system. Major responsibilities include accurate and timely analysis, as well as reporting and compliance activities.
Primary Duties
- Create, implement and monitor cost / management accounting system and procedures.
- Responsible for monitoring and reporting on manufacturing budgets and variances.
- Participates in and prepares Bill of Material (BOM) set up, maintenance and costing review for manufactured items.
- Maintains integrity of general ledger transactions.
- Responsible for analyzing, reconciling, and reviewing inventory valuation reports.
- Performs account analysis and reconciliations.
- Review and maintain site cycle count analysis and tracking.
- Prepares recommendations, supports and implements alternatives to work processes that will increase efficiencies and quality of financial reporting.
- Prepares cost and variance analysis associated with the month, quarter and year-end close, prepares related reports, and meets reporting deadlines.
- Development of product cost models: material usage, material cost, equipment requirements, and labor rates, labor cycle times, overhead, tooling, and capital requirements for new business or changes to current business.
- Participates in integration of cost accounting system with other company accounting and administrative systems.
- Monitors standard work procedures for product cost tracking.
- Prepares budget to actual variance reports.
- Prepares month, quarter and year-end report and presentation data.
- Performs complex analyses of specific cost centers and variances.
- Performs and analyzes cost trends.
- Prepares manufacturing variance reporting.
- Performs semi-finished goods Master Data set up and review.
- Prepares period end presentation material.
- Perform all work in compliance with company quality procedures and standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education, Training and Experience
- Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required
- 2+ years of experience in accounting
- SAP Experience

- Planning objectives and strategies to achieve them within a set timeline
- Practicing time management to allocate tasks, balance priorities, and meet deadlines efficiently
- Effective verbal communication skills
- Written Communications - including the ability to communicate technical data in written form
- Functional skills including critical thinking, adaptability, time management, communication, problem-solving and digital literacy.
- Skilled in MS Office tools to include but not limited to Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel
- Intermediate: applies skills independently in most situations; handles moderately complex tasks with occasional guidance
- In depth knowledge of cost accounting and business systems and best practices
- Use of SQL in data analysis
