About the Team

The Global Sourcing & Procurement (GS&P) team’s mission is to enable and enhance DoorDash’s success by providing expertise, platforms, and processes to optimize across three pillars:

• Efficient spending of DoorDash capital
• Speed to execution
• Calculated risk-taking across the company’s dynamic supplier portfolio

GS&P is focused on transforming the procurement function at DoorDash by enhancing the business partner experience, improving process efficiency, and identifying areas of synergy/ integration with our partners at Wolt.

The GS&P team aims to enable DoorDash internal business partners to fulfill their purchasing and contracting needs with speed and efficiency, while balancing the need for SOX process controls and savings through negotiation.

Major projects in 2024 include vendor onboarding process enhancements, procurement customer experience improvements, and the integration of key procurement systems.

About the Role

We’re hiring a Procurement Operations Team Lead to own day to day management of a procurement operations team in our Mexico City delivery center. This is a unique opportunity for the Team Lead to participate in an operations transition, team staffing, training development and delivery, leading day to day operations, and driving continuous improvement efforts. You will work cross-functionally on the P2P (Procure to Pay) team to achieve key customer experience and process efficiency OKRs.

The first 90 days will be focused on setting GS&P up for a successful procurement operations transition. Key activities will include refining process documentation, development of training programs, hiring the team, and coaching the team through their onboarding process. Once the team is live in production, the Team Lead will be focused on day to day team management and team productivity. As the team and function matures the Team Lead will shift their focus to larger continuous improvement opportunities.

You will report into the Procurement Operations Manager on the Global Sourcing & Procurement team in our Finance organization. As we’re building a new team, we expect this role to be 80% in-office to start with a path toward a 60% hybrid arrangement as the team matures.

We're excited about you because…

• Have 3-5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, finance, accounts payable, or related fields
• You are fluent in speaking and writing in both English and Spanish
• Have proven experience using Coupa P2P software
• Understand the P2P (Procure-to-Pay) process
• Have trained or supported team members to exceed defined metrics, or related leadership experience
• You have experience with communicating, presenting, and documenting business processes to influence operations strategy
• Have a continuous improvement mindset optimizing and improving processes while designing for scale
• You have strong skills in analyzing data to generate insights that improve productivity and efficiency
