Summary
Elephas, a Madison, WI based biotechnology company, is seeking a motivated Product Manager to support commercial and operational development of our platform for ex vivo profiling of live tumor response to immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs). This role is critical to ensuring our platform delivers reliable, actionable insights that support our mission of improving the lives of those with cancer.
In this role you will be responsible for the strategic planning, development, and management of assigned products throughout their lifecycle. This role ensures that products meet customer needs, achieve business objectives, and align with the organization’s strategic goals. The Product Manager collaborates cross-functionally with engineering, marketing, sales, operations, and other stakeholders to define product requirements, guide development efforts, and drive successful market adoption.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Define and manage the product roadmap and strategy to align with company goals and customer needs.
- Develop and communicate product requirements and priorities to internal teams.
- Prepare business cases and recommendations for product investments and portfolio decisions.
- Support forecasting and resource planning during go-to-market execution.
- Conduct market research and analyze customer needs and emerging trends to inform strategy.
- Maintain competitive intelligence to guide business and product decisions.
- Partner with R&D, engineering, marketing, sales, and operations throughout the product lifecycle.
- Contribute to the creation of commercial materials, including training content and product messaging.
- Monitor product performance and analytics to guide strategic and tactical adjustments.
- Collaborate with business development and account teams to support customer and sales initiatives.
- Participate in stage-gate reviews, product development processes, and quality audits as required.
- Document and optimize workflows and cross-functional dependencies to improve efficiency and customer outcomes.
- Track and report progress across hardware, software, and data components to ensure alignment with key milestones.
Education/Experience/Skills
- 2+ years of experience in product management
- Bachelor’s degree in business related or applicable scientific area (engineering experience a plus)
- Experience with CLIA or ISO 13485 environment a plus
- Working knowledge of immuno-oncology, biomarkers, or diagnostic assay development
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Comfortable in a dynamic, research-driven environment with evolving priorities.
- Strong collaborator who thrives at the intersection of science, operations, and product execution.
