Who is Flock?

Flock Safety is the leading safety technology platform, helping communities thrive by taking a proactive approach to crime prevention and security. Our hardware and software suite connects cities, law enforcement, businesses, schools, and neighborhoods in a nationwide public-private safety network. Trusted by over 5,000 communities, 4,500 law enforcement agencies, and 1,000 businesses, Flock delivers real-time intelligence while prioritizing privacy and responsible innovation.

We’re a high-performance, low-ego team driven by urgency, collaboration, and bold thinking. Working at Flock means tackling big challenges, moving fast, and continuously improving. It’s intense but deeply rewarding for those who want to make an impact.

With nearly $700M in venture funding and a $7.5B valuation, we’re scaling intentionally and seeking top talent to help build the impossible. If you value teamwork, ownership, and solving tough problems, Flock could be the place for you.

The Opportunity

As Flock's hardware footprint grows, so does the complexity and scale of our electrical installations. We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Electrical Project Engineer to own and optimize the end-to-end lifecycle of our electrical projects nationwide. This is a critical role designed to build a scalable foundation for our installations by implementing cross-functional initiatives that directly improve operational efficiency and reduce costs. You will be the central hub, working with our Field Operations, Engineering, and Finance teams to ensure our electrical projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

The Skillset

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering field required; advanced degree is a plus.

  • Proven experience in project management, specifically within the electrical design, construction or other related technical field.

  • Knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and vendor management.

  • Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to identify process inefficiencies and implement successful, data-driven improvements.

  • Experience managing project budgets, timelines, and resources, with a track record of delivering cost savings.

  • A deep understanding of project management methodologies and software (e.g., Jira, Asana, Smartsheet, Procore, etc.).

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.

  • A bias for action and a relentless drive to build scalable, repeatable processes from the ground up.

Feeling uneasy that you haven’t ticked every box? That’s okay; we’ve felt that way too. Studies have shown women and minorities are less likely to apply unless they meet all qualifications. We encourage you to break the status quo and apply to roles that would make you excited to come to work every day.

90 Days at Flock

We are a results-oriented culture and believe job descriptions are a thing of the past. We prescribe to 90 day plans and believe that good days, lead to good weeks, which lead to good months. This serves as a preview of the 90 day plan you will receive if you were to be hired in this role at Flock Safety.

The First 30 Days

  • You will immerse yourself in Flock's electrical operations. You'll meet with key leaders in Field Ops, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Finance to understand our current project workflows from start to finish. You'll spend time in the field to see installations firsthand and will analyze historical project data to establish a baseline for cost and efficiency, identifying the top opportunities for immediate improvement.

The First 60 Days

  • You will shift from analysis to execution. Based on your findings, you will design and begin implementing your first process improvement initiatives. This could include updating our project tracking system, standardizing our electrical bill of materials, or piloting a new vendor management strategy. You will take the lead on managing a portfolio of active projects, applying your new processes and demonstrating their value.

90 Days & Beyond

  • You are a recognized owner of electrical operations project management at Flock. You will have successfully rolled out several key initiatives that are showing measurable improvements in cost and efficiency. You will have built a comprehensive dashboard for tracking project KPIs and will be presenting a strategic roadmap to leadership for the next phase of operational enhancements, solidifying a scalable and cost-effective future for our electrical deployments.
