The Associate Director of Immunology Commercialization Analytics is a dynamic member of BMS’ US & WW Commercialization Analytics team that is a key thought partner for Commercial and other matrix teams to drive effective insights and analytics. The US & WW Commercialization Analytics team is a unique organization within BMS that partners closely with the full matrix team to coordinate and integrate insights across various analytical functions such as forecasting, market research, and secondary data analytics to answer key questions on performance and strategy for the US and across our WW markets.

The Cardiovascular & Immunology organization is an important pillar of BMS’ strategy with a combination of established (Eliquis and Orencia), recently launched (Camzyos and Sotyktu), and a rich pipeline of brands that are critical to the future of the company. This candidate will work with the Immunology Commercialization Analytics team to support senior leadership by leading primary and secondary research as well as helping the Immunology brand teams (and extended stakeholders) make informed strategic decisions and choices.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Design and lead a comprehensive market research plan addressing brand strategic imperatives in immunology, fostering strong partnerships to meet resource, timing, and project goals, and delivering a clear set of recommendations

  • Provide input to shape strategic business plans, program strategies, and launch plans within the immunology portfolio

  • Integrate primary research (custom, syndicated, etc.) with brand analytics and forecasting to drive strategies and actions that significantly drive revenue and profit

  • Present issues clearly and persuasively, effectively communicating recommendations to both the brand and broader matrix teams

  • Consistently provide end-to-end support to answer internal commercial business unit questions regarding brand performance, marketplace activity, competitor product activity, or other pharmaceutical market changes in support of decision-making for the U.S. commercial organization

  • Collaborate extensively within the US Commercialization Analytics and broader matrix teams (Data Analytics, Forecasting, Competitive Intelligence, etc.) to identify logical and unbiased insights, and provide a unified view of the business

  • Develops and maintains a deep understanding of Immunology brand priorities

  • Support the ad-hoc business-critical activities such as BD assessments, Earnings Prep documents, onboarding of senior leaders, etc.

  • Lead, manage and mentor support resources

  • Understands, demonstrates, and drives adherence to all BMS operating policies

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of Biotech or Pharma experience in Market Research (Associate Director)

  • BA required, Masters or PhD preferred

  • Strong grasp of market research function with a good general knowledge of other analytical disciplines, such as forecasting, secondary data analytics, or marketing science

  • Extensive knowledge and use of both primary research and secondary data sources

  • Ability to present to and influence senior leaders on critical decisions

  • Ability to connect insights with the overarching business questions and understand the link between brand strategy and analytic insights

  • Manage ambiguity by questioning data and/or stakeholder for further nuanced information.

  • Ability to operate on less than perfect data, by having a sound logical framework.

  • Demonstrate a continuous commitment to the QC process to ensure quality of deliverables meets or exceeds the forecasting teams’ standards

  • Experience in immunology is preferred

The starting compensation for this job is a range from $167,540-$203,000 plus incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility).

The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills and where the job is performed.

Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.
