Role Purpose
The Cardio & Neuro Franchise Manager will be responsible for leading the brand strategy and commercial initiatives for Cardio products, with the aim of consolidating their positioning, ensuring market adoption, and guaranteeing a positive impact on the lives of patients with cardiovascular conditions. Additionally, the role will involve collaborating in the evaluation and development of new products and assets in the neuroscience area, generating strategic analyses and business cases to support the implementation of these initiatives in the market. This role encompasses a comprehensive vision, from strategic planning to tactical execution, maintaining cross-functional collaboration with various departments within the company.
Main Responsibilities
1. Brand Strategy (Cardio)
- Design, implement, and lead the brand strategy for Cardio products, aligned with global and local business objectives.
- Identify market trends, growth opportunities, and risks, ensuring a sustainable competitive advantage.
- Participate in defining pricing, market access strategies, and positioning along with Market Access and Medical Affairs teams.
2. Product Management and Tactical Execution
- Create and execute omnichannel marketing plans that include digital strategies, medical education, and effective promotional resources.
- Monitor product performance, sales, and KPIs, adjusting the plan if necessary to achieve objectives.
- Collaborate with medical and sales teams to support the dissemination of appropriate and ethical scientific information.
3. Analysis and Development of Business Cases for New Assets (Neurosciences)
- Conduct market analysis, competitiveness assessments, and business opportunities for new products and assets in the neurosciences area.
- Prepare robust business cases, including financial analyses, commercial opportunities, and strategic scenarios, under global and regional guidelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Market Access, Medical Affairs, Research and Development, and Finance to assess the viability and potential of new products.
- Contribute to the strategic definition of the company's portfolio in the neurosciences area, linking market insights with the needs of patients and the healthcare system.
4. Stakeholder Relations and Cross-Functional Teamwork
- Act as a leader of cross-functional teams, working collaboratively with Market Access, Sales, Operations, Regulatory, and Medical teams to implement successful strategies.
- Establish strong relationships with key external stakeholders, including specialist doctors, key opinion leaders (KOLs), scientific societies, and patients.
- Responsible of the Brand P&L
5. Innovation and Education
- Identify unmet needs within the medical and patient community, developing innovative initiatives to address these needs.
- Develop educational and support materials that reinforce the understanding and acceptance of Cardio products by physicians and patients.
6. Regulatory and Ethical Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all local and international regulations related to the promotion and commercialization of the medication.
- Respect ethical values and act in accordance with BMS's internal policies.
7. Sales Force
- Establish clear performance expectations and provide regular feedback and evaluations. Support employee development through training, career growth opportunities, and personalized development plans.
- Cultivate a culture of open communication and teamwork by encouraging collaboration, recognizing and rewarding achievements, and addressing employee concerns to enhance engagement and motivation.
Job Requirements
Education
- University degree in Health Sciences, Business Administration, Economics, or related fields. An MBA or master's in Marketing is a plus.
Experience
- 7+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with 3-5 years in marketing of pharmaceutical or biotech products (mandatory)
- Previous experience in launching innovative or specialty products, ideally in cardiovascular diseases or related areas.
- Experience in commercial opportunity analysis, financial modeling, and business case development.
- Knowledge (and desirable experience) in therapeutic areas of neurosciences.
Technical Skills
- Ability to conduct market and financial analyses with a strategic focus, especially in evaluating new assets.
- Knowledge of the cardiovascular therapeutic area and strategies for market access, digital marketing, and strategic planning (mandatory)
- Experience in managing sales force teams (mandatory)
- Ability to analyze clinical and market data with informed decision-making focus.
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written) (mandatory)

- Achievement of sales targets and market share for Cardio & Neuro products.
- Impact and effectiveness of marketing initiatives (ROI, engagement).
- Effective identification and development of business cases for new neuroscience assets.
- Satisfaction level of key stakeholders (physicians, patients, internal teams).
- Compliance with all company regulations and policies.
