Bristol Myers Squibb has been in operation in Ireland since 1964, employing over 650 people across a range of activities and business units Located in Dublin, Cruiserath Biologics Campus, a one billion Multi-Product Cell Culture Biologics Manufacturing facility plays a central role in the Global Product Development and Supply (GPS) network as the company’s first European biologics manufacturing facility. This state of the art facility will produce multiple therapies for the company’s growing biologics portfolio. Global Biologics Laboratory (GBL) responsible for the release testing of Biologics Drug product for the network, is also based on the Cruiserath Biologics Campus. Shift Technician will assist in delivering a safe working environment for our colleagues and a reliable plant to ensure continuity of supply of medicines for our patients.
Position Summary
The Supply Chain, Senior Manager is the bridge / interface between the CMO/ExM Business Unit and the wider Global Supply Chain Planning teams. They are accountable for ensuring continuity of supply within the ExM CMO network, maintaining close working relationship with GSC Planning Teams. This role will act as the ExM Supply Chain Director designee on all critical meetings.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for execution of the EXM Site S&OP / OBP Process.
Responsible for execution of the ExM CMO Allocation process.
Provide the BU with long term netted forecast requirements and short-term supply priorities for products purchased from both internal and external manufacturing sites.
Oversee and Lead the ExM SC BU Weekly Tiered Hot Topics meeting.
Supports EXM Virtual Plant Teams (VPTs) ensuring operational delivery as well as long term strategic planning.
Supports ExM VPTs for new product introduction and tech transfer projects ensuring supplier capability to meet all supplier requirements.
Ensure appropriate warehousing capacity availability to support ExM supply network, addressing any gaps with GDS team & reporting to key stakeholders.
Act as the influential central point of contact to develop and support the day-to-day relationship between ExM SC & GSC Planning Teams. Represent ExM SC in GSC meetings as designee for EXM SC Director as required.
Present input and recommendations for business decisions.
Ensure appropriate governance in place with GSC planning teams to ensure ExM supply chain risks are addressed in a timely manner, working with stakeholders to manage and mitigate.
Drive escalation of key supply topics to ExM SC Dir on a timely basis.
Ensures continuity of supply within EXM / CMO network, maintaining close relationship with GSC Planning Teams.
Identifies and resolves supply exceptions with production sites by expediting or reprioritizing PO, reallocating existing inventory & ensuring SS levels are in place to meet customer service level.
Ensure all BMS GSC Supply Chain SOPs and WI are followed and consistent with ExM SOP’s and WI’s.
Opex support for ExM Supply Chain BU, partnering with PD&E & GSC to drive process improvements.
Determine appropriate inventory levels / safety stock targets aligned with EXM network strategy for CMOs.
Drive CMO site assumptions reviews with planning teams to ensure correct assumptions input to supply planning.
Accountable for short, medium and long term ExM volume projections / budgets for RSM, API, DP, FIN.
Ensure EXM BU aligned to the GSC projections and coordinate the SC VPTs to address FIN topics.
Ensuring CMO assumptions are feed into the process and clear analysis of primary business drivers.
Monitor PO receipts from all CMOs and ensure timely delivery and availability of product in accordance with our inventory plan, safety stock policy and on time delivery metrics.
Ensure creation and deliverance of POs to all suppliers based on lead times compliant with contractual obligations.
Responsible for execution of ExM Site BU MRB Process.
Metrics Process Lead for ExM Site Supply Chain, managing performance metrics to assure sustained business performance from suppliers. Drive any metrics improvements with GSC Planning teams/BI&A teams.
Represent EXM Supply Chain at key governance meetings.
Support BMS Global Initiatives to change the business.
Site master data alignment (SAP and Kinaxis Rapid Response).
Responsible for execution of the EXM Site REACH reporting, warehouse capacity, tax reporting, additional financial reporting.
Qualifications & Experience
Specific Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Knowledge of ERP, ideally SAP and SAP BW reporting, Kinaxis Rapid Response and related data analysis tools.
Full understanding of BMS Supply Chain, products and markets.
Strong Leadership Skills
Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills to multiple levels within the Business
Detailed knowledge of Contract Manufacturing Supply Chain Operations.
Ability to prioritise, organise and manage multiple tasks to tight deadlines.
An understanding of regulatory requirements and management of regulatory constraints.
Education/Experience/ Licenses/Certifications:
APICS or related qualification.
5years + Supply Chain experience in global manufacturing and supply environment, preferably in a similar role.
Understanding of Supply Chain and Regulatory operations in a cGMP environment.
Understanding of pharmaceutical artwork management processes.
Knowledge of Pharmaceutical industry.
Project Management qualification or experience is desirable.
