Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS) has been in operation in Ireland since 1964, employing over 600 people across a range of activities and business units.
Located in Dublin, Cruiserath Biologics Campus, a one billion Multi-Product Cell Culture Biologics Manufacturing facility, is part of the Global Product Development and Supply (GPS) network. This state of the art facility produces multiple therapies for the company’s growing biologics portfolio and plays a central role in Bristol-Myers Squibb global manufacturing network. The Global Biologics Laboratory (GBL) responsible for the release testing of Biologics Drug product for the network, is also based on the Cruiserath Biologics Campus.
The Role
BMS Cruiserath Biologics is seeking to recruit an Engineering Projects Intern to join the Projects Team.
Reporting to the Projects Programme Manager, the engineering intern will be responsible for supporting the projects team on the delivery of a diverse mix of capital and expense projects on Manufacturing, Labs, Process, Utilities and Automation/IT (AIT) systems.
Working in multiple systems and disciplines, the position has the benefit of exposure to a wide range of site functions and departments.
The successful candidate will have frequent exposure to project managers as they support them in executing projects that shape our overall strategy and transform our site into a best-in-class Biopharmaceutical facility. The role requires a motivated and self-sufficient individual who is keen to learn and improve our group.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Lead small engineering projects (with the support of an experienced Project Manager). Responsible for delivery of engineering design, project scoping, site walkdowns, change management, project and financial management.
Supporting large projects as project engineer.
Assisting the Project Programme Manager in the delivery of the Capital and Expense portfolios on site, including co-ordination of presentations to Senior Leadership Team and digitisation of the Project Portfolio.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills Required:
Engineering (Chemical, Process, Mechanical or Civil) discipline of study
Strong communication and organizational skills
Self- motivated, energetic, collaborative and dedicated
Excellent inter-personal skills.
