Position Summary:
The Senior Manager, Technical Lead / Solution Architect combines strategic solution design with hands-on technical leadership to advance BMS’ commercial content lifecycle. This role designs and implements cloud-native architectures, integrates enterprise platforms (e.g., Veeva Vault PromoMats and Adobe Experience Manager), and incubates Generative AI capabilities to transform compliant content creation, MLR review, approval, and omnichannel delivery at scale.
Key Responsibilities:
Architect scalable, secure, and compliant solutions in alignment to defined roadmaps.
Design and maintain end-to-end reference architectures spanning authoring tools, DAMs (Veeva, AEM), CRM (Veeva, Salesforce), marketing automation, analytics, and cloud-native services.
Lead the integration of microservices, APIs, event-driven workflows, and middleware in complex enterprise ecosystems.
Champion GenAI/LLM use cases for content authoring, tagging, personalization, MLR support, and knowledge discovery under Responsible AI governance; productize AI/GenAI solutions with MLOps, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
Ensure hands-on leadership in data privacy, cybersecurity frameworks, GxP validation, and risk management for regulated environments.
Serve as SME for the end-to-end content lifecycle (authoring → MLR → approval → omnichannel publishing → archival), ensuring compliance, traceability, versioning, and reusability.
Lead and mentor multi-disciplinary teams (architects, engineers, DevOps, data scientists, vendors) in global delivery models; establish reference architectures, coding standards, and CI/CD/DevOps best practices.
Drive Agile transformation across business & IT.
Act as a change agent, driving adoption of new tools, processes, and mindsets across conservative or regulated environments.
Partner with marketing, regulatory, IT, and vendor teams to align solutions to business outcomes; influence technology adoption and innovation across Commercial operations.
Identify opportunities, validate use cases, and drive business adoption of new technologies; align technology roadmaps with business outcomes, including ROI justification, cost-benefit analysis, and vendor negotiations.
Rapidly pilot and scale disruptive technologies and successful initiatives across the enterprise.
Build high-performing teams and instill accountability through mentorship and talent growth.
Manage stakeholder relationships with senior executives, brand/marketing leaders, compliance teams, and external partners.
Qualifications & Experience:
8–10+ years in solution architecture or technical leadership, ideally in pharmaceutical/life sciences.
Hands-on cloud expertise (AWS) and cloud-native architectural patterns.
Experience with Veeva Vault PromoMats and/or Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and integrating across enterprise apps.
Full-stack engineering fluency (e.g., Java, .NET, Python, Node) and modern front-end frameworks (React/Angular).
Strong knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, workflow automation, and data exchange standards; CI/CD and DevOps practices.
Familiarity with marketing automation (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Campaign).
Deep understanding of MLR processes, promotional content regulations, and validated delivery (GxP).
Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams in global delivery models.
Demonstrated success in driving Agile/Scaled Agile transformation and adoption of new tools and processes.
Proven ability to take ownership from idea to delivery, with an entrepreneurial mindset.
Experience aligning technology roadmaps with business outcomes and managing vendor negotiations.
Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Preferred:
Experience applying LLMs/GenAI and MLOps in enterprise settings.
Certifications: AWS Solutions Architect, AWS AI/ML or equivalent.
Exposure to data lakes/analytics and marketing performance reporting.
Knowledge of Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud and Veeva Commercial Vaults.
Cross-functional exposure to commercial operations, medical affairs, and clinical content to bridge silos.
Financial acumen: ability to forecast budgets, manage vendor contracts, and optimize cloud costs.
Thought leadership: experience representing the organization at conferences, vendor forums, or internal innovation councils.
Startup/scale-up experience: prior exposure to building or scaling products/platforms (inside or outside pharma), even in a lean/startup context.

Compensation Overview:
The starting compensation range(s) for this role are listed above for a full-time employee (FTE) basis. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills, where the job is performed, the employee’s work schedule, job-related knowledge, and experience. Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.
