Senior Director, Product - AI Application
Klaviyo
At Klaviyo, we value the unique backgrounds, experiences and perspectives each Klaviyo (we call ourselves Klaviyos) brings to our workplace each and every day. We believe everyone deserves a fair shot at success and appreciate the experiences each person brings beyond the traditional job requirements. If you’re a close but not exact match with the description, we hope you’ll still consider applying. Want to learn more about life at Klaviyo? Visit klaviyo.com/careers to see how we empower creators to own their own destiny.
Klaviyo’s mission is to help businesses own their growth. As the Senior Director, Product Management – AI Applications, you will own the vision, strategy, and execution for how AI shows up across Klaviyo’s product portfolio so that our customers get measurably better outcomes with less effort and more confidence. You’ll turn advances in AI into durable product advantages that help creators, brands, and partners move faster and grow smarter.
You will lead a team of product managers and work in tight partnership with Engineering, Data, Design, and GTM leaders to build AI‑native experiences (not just AI features). You’ll define the bets, the roadmap, and the operating system for AI at Klaviyo—from foundational capabilities and evaluation frameworks to customer‑facing agents and workflows that drive activation, adoption, and long‑term retention.
How You’ll Make a Difference
- Own Klaviyo’s AI product vision and roadmap. Define a clear 12–24 month strategy for AI across our platform and products, tying it directly to customer jobs‑to‑be‑done, revenue growth, and product differentiation.
- Turn AI capabilities into customer value. Translate foundational models, data assets, and infrastructure into coherent, end‑to‑end product experiences—such as agents, recommendations, and copilots—that improve time‑to‑value, campaign performance, and user productivity.
- Build the AI product operating system. Establish how AI products are discovered, prioritized, evaluated, and shipped (cadences, definitions of ready/done, experiment pipelines, evaluation harnesses, and post‑launch reviews).
- Partner deeply with Engineering and Data. Collaborate with ML, data platform, and application engineering leaders to align on architecture, data requirements, and technical constraints, ensuring we balance ambition with reliability, scale, and cost‑to‑serve.
- Drive an experimentation and measurement culture. Define success metrics (e.g., feature adoption, lift in campaign performance, time‑to‑first‑value, NRR impact) and ensure every AI initiative is instrumented, evaluated, and iterated based on data.
- Ensure responsible AI by design. Partner with Legal, Security, and Data teams to define and implement standards for privacy, safety, bias mitigation, and human‑in‑the‑loop workflows, with clear guardrails for how AI interacts with customer data.
- Embed AI across product lines. Work with product leaders across Klaviyo to identify where AI can reshape workflows end‑to‑end, avoid “one‑off” AI features, and drive consistency in UX patterns, messaging, and value propositions.
- Partner across GTM to launch and land. Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Support to position AI capabilities, enable internal teams, and ensure launches translate into real customer adoption and revenue impact.
- Build and develop a high‑performing AI‑focused PM team. Hire, coach, and retain product managers who are customer‑obsessed, technically curious, and biased toward impact; create a learning environment where people do the best work of their careers.
- Champion Klaviyo’s values in how we build. Model “Put customers first,” “Move fast, no shortcuts,” and “Drivers wanted” in how you set goals, sequence bets, and make trade‑offs across short‑ and long‑term outcomes.
- Transform workflows by putting AI at the center, building smarter systems and ways of working from the ground up.
- Continuously experiment with AI tools—testing, learning, and sharing insights to keep Klaviyo ahead of the curve, championing new applications that accelerate product development workflows and elevate quality responsibly.
Who You Are
- Experienced product leader. 12+ years of product management experience in B2B SaaS, including 5+ years leading product managers and cross‑functional product teams at Director or Senior Director level. You’ve operated at meaningful scale and complexity.
- Proven AI/ML product track record. You’ve shipped AI‑ or ML‑powered products (e.g., generative experiences, recommendations, classification/ranking, agents) that drove measurable improvements in customer outcomes and business metrics.
- First‑principles product thinker. You’re obsessive about clear problem framing, understanding customer jobs‑to‑be‑done, and designing simple, leverage‑rich solutions—using data and qualitative insight in equal measure.
- Technically fluent. You can comfortably partner with Engineering and Data leaders on topics like model integration, data quality, evaluation approaches, and system trade‑offs, even if you’re not the one writing the code.
- Outcome‑ and metrics‑driven. You know how to define and own a scoreboard across activation, adoption, retention/NRR, usage intensity, and cost‑to‑serve—and use it to guide portfolio decisions and resourcing.
- Exceptional cross‑functional operator. You’ve built trusted partnerships with Engineering, Data, Design, GTM, and Finance, and you’re skilled at aligning diverse stakeholders around clear priorities and trade‑offs.
- People‑first leader. You have a track record of building inclusive, high‑performing teams, coaching PMs and managers, and creating a culture of ownership, candor, and continuous learning.
- Values‑aligned. You naturally put customers first, know the score, move fast without shortcuts, and stay hungry and humble. You don’t tolerate brilliant jerks and actively work to make the world more equitable.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and scale. You’ve led through change, managed complex portfolios, and made high‑judgment calls with incomplete information in high‑growth environments.
- You’ve already experimented with AI in work or personal projects, and you’re excited to dive in and learn fast. You’re hungry to responsibly explore new AI tools and workflows, finding ways to make your work smarter and more efficient.
- You use AI tools to accelerate exploration, shorten iteration cycles, and bring sharper ideas to the table, and you’re eager to help your team do the same.

- Experience with usage‑based pricing, tiering, or packaging for AI‑driven features.
