Role Overview:
Lyra Health is recruiting a Business Intelligence Analyst to assist with Analytics for Lyra International. Reporting to the Data Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the company’s period of growth and change and be a role model for the expected behaviours and attitudes.
Remote role: This role is remote, to be based in South Africa. There maybe a requirement to travel to the office to attend monthly on-site meetings.
Hours: Weekdays - Monday to Friday (5 working days) from 8am to 5pm (working hours may shift when the need arises. Flexibility is essential as the successful candidate may be required to participate in virtual international meetings beyond standard working hours to accommodate global time zones.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interact with Business Analysts and Systems Architects to understand data sources.
  • Interact with the business to gather and understand requirements.
  • Write code to be used in the reports and dashboards (SQL queries)
  • Develop final asset (report, cube, dynamic/static dashboard) using Microsoft reporting tools.
  • Perform unit testing.
  • Debug and troubleshoot issues raised by our stakeholders.
  • Import data into Excel and merge data sets for the analysis of information
  • Understand key structures, data inputs, data relationships and data tables
  • Check & maintain data for integrity
  • Conduct data mining activities for the analysis of trends and other information
  • Suggest further fields or data tables for future versions of reporting
  • Run standard monthly customer and business-related reports

Qualifications

  • Tertiary degree or diploma in Social Sciences/Humanities, Sociology, Health Sciences, Data Analytics, Science, Data Science, Finance or Business Management

Experience

  • Advanced excel skills (writing macros, designing pivot tables, linking sheets and testing calculations (in Excel or where gaps) on machine data) is essential
  • Strong report writing skills, preferably with Microsoft SSRS and Power BI.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in transforming data into intelligence – manipulating data, creating transformations, analysing data, creating reports and dashboards.
  • A strong knowledge and experience of data systems, data structures and data models.
  • Solid experience with T-SQL
  • Familiarity with ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
  • Good knowledge in SSIS, SSRS, PowerBI and Tableau
  • Ability to develop SSAS cubes in SQL server, including Tabular models.
  • Excellent knowledge of SQL queries, stored procedures and triggers.
