ModMed is hiring a driven Technical Product Owner to join our positive, passionate, and high-performing Regulatory Compliance team.
Job Summary:
As Product Owner for Data and Analytics at Mod Med, you will be working in a collaborative, energetic, dynamic, and creative environment to drive the delivery of market-leading data and analytics products for our emerging and existing healthcare products and services. The strategic priorities you’ll contribute to may include:
- Partner with product and development to validate requirements, ensuring our products meet and exceed our clients' expectations.
- Assist with the development of new analytics features and data sets by working cross-functionally across specialties and product teams.
- Support our strategic goals for developing data-driven solutions.
In addition, a key responsibility will involve working directly with developers and internal stakeholders to validate requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Vision and Strategy:
- Define and communicate the product vision and strategy for data analytics products.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into product requirements.
- Prioritize features, enhancements, and bug fixes based on business value and stakeholder input.
- Backlog Management:
- Maintain and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring it aligns with the product vision and business goals.
- Write clear, actionable user stories with acceptance criteria.
- Conduct backlog grooming sessions with the development team.
- Development Process:
- Work closely with development teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Provide guidance and clarification to the development team as needed.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.
- Communicate product updates and roadmaps to stakeholders.
- Gather and incorporate feedback from stakeholders into the product development process.
- Data Analytics Expertise:
- Leverage data analytics to inform product decisions and strategy.
- Ensure products are designed to meet data governance, privacy, and security standards.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in data analytics.
- Performance Measurement:
- Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess product performance and impact.
- Use data-driven insights to identify opportunities for product improvement.
Qualifications:
- Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience as a Product Owner, preferably in data analytics or a related field.
- Strong technical background with experience in data analytics tools and technologies (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI).
- Skills and Competencies:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience with Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with data governance, privacy, and security best practices.
- Certifications:
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent certification is a plus.
