Job Description Summary:

ModMed is seeking an RCM Provider Enrollment Specialist who is responsible for managing the provider enrollment and revalidation processes for various payers, ensuring timely and accurate submission of applications to facilitate efficient revenue cycle management for Modernizing Medicine's clients.


Your Role:

  • Prepare, submit, and track initial provider enrollment applications (CAQH, PECOS, state Medicaid, commercial payers, etc.) for new providers and revalidations for existing providers.
  • Monitor and follow up on enrollment applications to ensure timely approval and completion of credentialing.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date provider enrollment data in internal systems and external payer portals.
  • Research and resolve enrollment-related issues, denials, and discrepancies.
  • Communicate effectively with providers, practice managers, and internal teams regarding enrollment status and requirements.
  • Stay informed of changes in payer enrollment policies, regulations, and requirements.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of process improvements for provider enrollment workflows.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the RCM department.


Skills & Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in provider enrollment or medical credentialing within a healthcare setting.
  • Strong understanding of payer enrollment processes, including CAQH, PECOS, and various commercial and governmental payer requirements.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with medical billing software and practice management systems is a plus.
