The Role - The Director of RCM Accounts Receivable (AR) Operations, you will be a foundational leader for our ModMed India (MMI) team. Your primary mission is to build, ramp, and lead a world-class AR team, transitioning critical work from global partners back to ModMed to ensure we have direct control over the customer experience.

This is a high-impact role requiring a visionary who can scale an organization from 35 to over 150 employees while implementing best-in-class standards through automation and process excellence.

Your Core Responsibilities

• Strategic Growth & Execution : Build and execute a strategy to ensure front-end processes are optimized for full payment, claims are worked within expected timeframes, and team structures are designed to prevent backlogs.

• Operational Excellence : Drive the "Discover-Design-Implement-Execute" (DDIE) model at the practice level, closely monitoring KPIs and taking full ownership of AR resolution.

• Talent Leadership & Culture : Lead the hiring and capacity ramp-up of a top-tier workforce, ensuring cultural alignment with ModMed and maintaining high employee satisfaction to control attrition.

• Global Collaboration : Work closely with cross-geographical teams to develop world-class practices and ensure seamless coordination across the AR model.

• Innovation & Automation : Boldly innovate by identifying and implementing automation opportunities within and outside the PM system to improve quality and productivity.

• Change Management : Drive initiatives to improve workflows, decision trees, and technical updates to stay ahead of industry standards.

• Quality Assurance & Training : Partner with Quality and Training teams to equip staff with vertical-specific knowledge and ensure standards are met through focused audits.

• Client Success : Participate in client escalation discussions to improve retention and implement focused recovery plans.

What You Bring

• Experience: 20+ years of hands-on experience in core Provider Revenue Cycle Management (RCM), specifically focused on India-based AR operations.

• Leadership: Proven track record of leading large-scale teams (100+) and building departments from the ground up using your strong local network.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business, or Human Science.

• Skills: Advanced Excel and presentation skills, professional project management experience, and excellent global communication abilities.

• Innovation Mindset: A history of successful "Change Management" through automation and continuous improvement.

• Preferred: An MBA, Certified Medical Coder (CPC) status, and awareness of AI implementation within the RCM space are highly valued.
