The Role:

Our Chantilly site, is currently recruiting for an Operations Manager, to lead the Immunochemistry Bioanalysis department. As Operations Manager you will work to understand, lead and strategize budgets, projects and initiatives that strengthen our core business functions. This is an onsite position in the Chantilly, VA office.

Job Responsibilities:

• Overseeing the day to day operation of the Immunochemistry section; within the Bioanalysis division.

• Directly managing a team of laboratory supervisors and schedulers; who have overall responsibility for ensuring the immunochemistry lab work is scheduled and completed for client projects.

• Ensuring the lab is functioning efficiently and effectively to make sure all laboratory work is carried out in line with GxP regulatory standards and to meet client deadlines.

• Ensure the department is staffed effectively, resourced and equipment is functioning.

• Liaise with clients, taking part in client and regulatory audits.

• Involved in driving process improvement projects and working on a global scale with the wider bioanalysis team to create standard processes.

• Assisting directors with revenue projections and capacity modelling.

• Training, mentoring and coaching staff to ensure the smooth running of the department and continued growth.

Education / Experience / Qualifications:

Education Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, or Clinical Laboratory Science

Experience Required:

• Previous management experience.

• Must have a general science background and good overall scientific knowledge.

• Excellent communications skills, with the ability to lead and influence.

Experience Preferred:

• Previous experience working in a CRO and an understanding of GxP regulations.

• Experience working in the field of bioanalysis.

• Experience managing lab based staff.

Pay Range: $110,000

Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
