The Social Media Producer is a dynamic digital/social storyteller responsible for creating engaging content across Labcorp's owned social media channels. Reporting to the Senior Organic Social Media Manager, this role combines creative writing, video production on their phone, and graphic design skills to craft compelling social media narratives – that look like they were produced natively in-app.
The ideal candidate is a digital native with a keen eye for trends and the ability to conceptualize and execute timely, relevant content. This position requires the ability to capture and edit mobile video, Canva for graphics creation, understanding of social media platforms and content creation best practices on-platform, stays up to date on latest platform updates and specs, and the agility to tap into cultural moments that resonate with Labcorp's audience.
This is a hybrid position requiring three days per week onsite at a Labcorp lab or Patient Service Center (PSC), depending on the story location contributing to a collaborative and innovative social media strategy. The other two days per week are remote. Candidates must reside in Durham, NC or the surrounding area.
Responsibilities:
Produce and edit mobile video content for social media, ensuring a consistent and professional look that adheres to platform-specific best practices and Labcorp's brand guidelines.
Build and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders across various departments to ensure accurate representation of Labcorp's brand story and initiatives on social media platforms, and work closely with the creative team.
Scheduling content through Sprinklr and assisting with social calendar updates.
Develop and create engaging, high-quality content for Labcorp's social media channels, including written posts, images, and videos, that align with the company's brand voice and marketing objectives.
Conceptualize and execute timely, trend-driven social media content that resonates with Labcorp's target audience and increase engagement across platforms.
Monitor social media trends, stay up to date on reporting platforms and report changes to team, understand and identify potential cultural moments on social, and industry developments to inform content strategy and capitalize on relevant opportunities for Labcorp's social media presence.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Digital Marketing, Communications, or related field.
1-2 years of work experience in digital or influencer marketing or social media.
Demonstrated passion for social media and influencer marketing.
Examples of mobile video production and editing (TikTok, Instagram).
Experience using Canva or similar graphic design tools for social media content.
Ability to concept social media ideas that tap into trends, and ability to write engaging social copy.
In-depth knowledge of social media platforms, trends, and best practices, with a track record of staying ahead of industry developments.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and successful execution.
Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to adhere to brand guidelines and maintain a consistent voice across all social platforms.
Experience in data analysis and reporting, with the ability to translate social media metrics into actionable insights.
Proven track record of creating engaging organic social content across multiple platforms
Demonstrated ability to generate innovative social media ideas and strategies that align with business objectives and engage target audiences.
Ability to travel to Durham, NC for work three days a week, or be on location for social video collection, etc.
Preferred Requirements:
2-3 years of professional experience in social media content creation or digital marketing
Experience in healthcare or related industry social media management
Familiarity with social media management tools (e.g., Sprinklr)
