Personal Genome Diagnostics
Oversee the development and implementation of company-wide processes, activities, systems, and tools related to pricing. Collaborate directly with divisional and niche VP controllers, Senior Director of Divisional Pricing and Customer Master Administration, Divisional Pricing Directors, Pricing Managers, Customer Master Supervisors, RCM leadership, Sales and Marketing leads (including Executive Pricing Director, Marketing). Responsible for resource allocation, expense management, and implementation and oversight of effective controls. Responsible for the establishment of list price and provide patient/client bill pricing guidance for all new test products launched from the Diagnostics arm of Labcorp. Responsible for General Price Increase (GPI) strategy and related guidelines for divisions to follow. Responsible for pricing and customer master support for specialty areas of Integrated Oncology, Integrated Genetics, and Clinical Trials. Lead process for Clinical Trials Intercompany charges between Labcorp drug development and diagnostics business.
Assume responsibility for company-wide pricing strategy related to physician pass-through billing. These additional job requirements will materially expand the scope of this prior position by adding the direct oversight of $1B in annual client pass-through revenue. Additional associated revenue from the same set of clients carries more than $5B in annual revenue (e.g., 3rd Party). The duties related to this item require the individual to lead the process for vendor selection, partner with IT for application launch, negotiate internally with stakeholders to gain support, hire and develop additional staff to manage the platform via creating pricing rules for the divisions to follow (these rules will be passed over to the Senior Director of Divisional Pricing to communicate and adhere to) and lead the process to run revenue optimization models to increase Labcorp’s revenues and margins within this payor segment.
Responsibilities include:
- Guide the strategic direction company-wide of pricing operations ensuring global adherence to price guidelines and policy. Develop and implement company-wide pricing strategies, procedures, solutions, systems, tools, and process efficiencies that meet the company’s financial goals.
- Integrate business strategy and vision into pricing direction for all divisional and niche pricing departments. Determine best practices and cost savings techniques ensuring adoption across all divisional, national, niche, and acquired pricing operations departments.
- Guide list price determination, list price harmonization analysis, and price recommendations. Lead customer-specific pricing for complex test offerings and unique billing structures. As needed, engage additional executive leadership: Discipline Directors, Sales, Marketing, Segment & Product Management, Finance, Revenue Cycle Management, Science & Technology, Compliance, Legal, etc.
- Provide oversight in establishing minimum pricing levels by product by partnering with sales, marketing and finance.
- Provide pricing guidance that is consumed by Finance VP & divisional VP controllers, Senior Director of Divisional Pricing and Customer Master Administration, Pricing Directors, Pricing Managers, Corporate Pricing staff, Sales Officers, and staff.
- Lead Corporate Pricing team of analysts and specialists ensuring adherence to service levels regarding price analysis, report delivery, and issue resolution.
- Lead Clinical Trials Customer Master Group which assists with Clinical Trials account generation and maintenance as well as provide pricing support.
- Lead EGL customer master and pricing group which assists with Integrated Oncology and Integrated Genetics account generation and maintenance across all applicable systems as well as pricing support.
- Lead annual process for general price increase (GPI) and report revenue growth progress.
- Manage process of development of intercompany charges between labcorp diagnostics and drug development.
- Manage team to provide reporting on KPIs and ad hoc requests.
- Provide subject matter expertise.
- Addition to prior role description:
- Lead process to develop Request for Proposal (RFP) document to facilitate the selection of a vendor which will provide a dynamic pricing application that can be used in the field for client pass-through billing.
- Negotiate with Divisions to accept new pricing platform, develop pricing guidelines/rules and partner with the Senior Director of Divisional Pricing and Customer Master Administration to determine which individuals support pricing in the field.
- Work closely with vendor and internal IT to set up new attributes, business rules, and modify existing data pull logic as needed to fit new requirements.
- Ensure new pricing processes are aligned with SOX protocols.
- Lead process to train sales personnel at the division level to utilize new pricing tool.
- Develop and lead team that will manage the client pricing platform by maintaining pricing rules and generating pricing optimization models to improve labcorp’s revenues and margins within this payor segment.

Experience Requirements:
- BA/BS Degree with a concentration in Finance, Marketing, or a similar field.
- 10 plus years of related business experience and relevant work experience in the healthcare field.
- 5 plus years of managing staff.
- Experience implementing CPQ (Configure Price Quote) application (preferred) or managing CPQ solution.
- Strong business acumen and analytical skills, with a high level of initiative and a strong ability to act independently.
- Advanced understanding of healthcare marketplace and laboratory billing methodologies (e.g. CPT).
- Well-developed interpersonal influencing skills including written and verbal communication with a track record of building relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and successfully manage high-impact projects and initiatives, foster and excel within a matrix work environment, and effectively interact with all levels of management.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with extremely strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated initiative, judgment and discretion while handling information.

- Solid understanding of LabCorp processes including lab, field operations, billing, pricing, collections, etc. is preferred.
- Skilled using LabCorp Systems including but not limited to Pricing Server, LCBS, LCLS and CRM. is preferred.
- Experience with vendor pricing programs (e.g., PROS, Vendavo) that are being utilized to drive pricing decisions in the field is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Intermediate Access, Advanced Excel (inclusive of knowledge with Pivot Tables), Word and PowerPoint. Experience with data mining and reporting tools (e.g., Alteryx, Tableau) preferred.

Pay Range: $160,000-$180,000 + annual bonus and equity
All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
The position is also eligible for an annual bonus under the Labcorp Bonus Plan. Bonuses are payable based on corporate and/or business segment performance and are subject to individual performance modifiers.
