Laboratory Corporation of America Holdings has an opening for a Director, Product Strategy. This is a remote position; can work anywhere in the U.S. Travel required for 5-6 national trips per year.
Job Description:
Analyze industry trends, customer needs, competitive threats, expansion opportunities and internal performance across the Biopharma Life Sciences portfolio.
Partner with Product Managers and Market Insights team to lead comprehensive market assessments for new product opportunities and make prioritization recommendations to Senior Management.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g. Finance, Technology, R&D, Market Access, Clinical) across our Biopharma Life Sciences product portfolio, to own and evolve a tiered roadmap of high-impact product launches.
Work with Marketing and Sales to drive partnership with our Biopharma Life Sciences business, to support timely and effective sales activation for key product launches.
Facilitate data-driven discussions to evaluate success of new product launches post-launch and share lessons learned to embed best practices across organization.
Measure and report on portfolio performance, assessing impact to revenue growth and profitability for key products
Minimum Requirements:
Must possess at least a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Business, Life Science, Engineering or a related field and at least 12 years of progressive experience as a Research and Development Scientist, Laboratory Manager, Engineer or related role. In the alternative, at least a master’s degree or its equivalent in Business, Life Science, Engineering or a related field and at least 10 years of experience as a Research and Development Scientist, Laboratory Manager, Engineer or related role would be acceptable.
Must possess at least 5 years of experience in Product Strategy, Product Development and/or Product Management in Health Care driving market growth and expansion.
Must possess at least 3 years of experience in the commercialization of products and/or services.
Must possess at least 3 years of experience with conceptual evaluation, analytical exercises and financial modeling.
Must possess and at least 3 years of experience developing market overviews, understanding competitive positioning, analyzing market trends and understanding customer needs.
Approximately 40 hours per week; salary range is $74,984 to $182,500 per year.
