Who we are

Samsara (NYSE: IOT) is the pioneer of the Connected Operations™ Cloud, which is a platform that enables organizations that depend on physical operations to harness Internet of Things (IoT) data to develop actionable insights and improve their operations. At Samsara, we are helping improve the safety, efficiency and sustainability of the physical operations that power our global economy. Representing more than 40% of global GDP, these industries are the infrastructure of our planet, including agriculture, construction, field services, transportation, and manufacturing — and we are excited to help digitally transform their operations at scale.

Working at Samsara means you’ll help define the future of physical operations and be on a team that’s shaping an exciting array of product solutions, including Video-Based Safety, Vehicle Telematics, Apps and Driver Workflows, Equipment Monitoring, and Site Visibility. As part of a recently public company, you’ll have the autonomy and support to make an impact as we build for the long term.

About the role:

Samsara is looking for an experienced Technical Trainer and Learning Program Manager to ensure that our Global Customer & Technical Support teams’ based in the Asia Pacific and Europe regions are enabled with effective and interactive onboarding and ongoing learning to provide a world-class customer experience and quick issue resolution. This role is the first of its kind in this region and will have an immediate impact on a growing 24x7 global support team as we launch our Bengaluru-based Samsara office.

You will work closely with other members of the Support Operations and Support L&D team based in North America, support leadership, support agents, and other teams within Samsara to manage and create learning experiences that demonstrate positive impacts on the business.

The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of adult learning theory, training & facilitation best practices including both facilitation and instructional design, and the demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects. This role will have a dotted line to the Support Director based in India. This role will require you to work from our Bengaluru office as needed to handle on-site training. You must reside within a 1.5-hour commuting distance from the office.

You should apply if:

  • You want to impact the industries that run our world: Your efforts will result in real-world impact—helping to keep the lights on, get food into grocery stores, reduce emissions, and most importantly, ensure workers return home safely.
  • You are the architect of your own career: If you put in the work, this role won’t be your last at Samsara. We set up our employees for success and have built a culture that encourages rapid career development, and countless opportunities to experiment and master your craft in a hyper-growth environment.
  • You’re energized by our opportunity: The vision we have to digitize large sectors of the global economy requires your full focus and best efforts to bring forth creative, ambitious ideas for our customers.
  • You want to be with the best: At Samsara, we win together, celebrate together and support each other. You will be surrounded by a high-caliber team that will encourage you to do your best.

In this role, you will:

  • Own the successful operations and facilitation of training programs for Samsara’s Global Support team based in the APAC & EMEA regions
  • Partner and calibrate with the Support Operations Learning & Development team based in North America to ensure consistency in training and the Global Samsara Support customer experience
  • Collaborate across cross-functional global teams and stakeholders to ensure learning initiatives are delivering the desired impact to the business
  • Design creative and engaging training solutions to address the needs specific to the APAC and EMEA regions
  • Use data to evaluate and measure the impact of learning initiatives and training programs on business outcomes, and quickly iterate to drive continuous improvement
  • Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices
  • International travel required for onboarding, with up to 25% travel possible for regular duties

Minimum requirements for the role:

  • Demonstrated skills in developing and delivering engaging learning experiences in a variety of formats including live workshops, virtual instructor-led workshops, and self-paced learning resources including eLearn, video, job aids, and engaging practice activities
  • Strong problem-solving mentality, with a bias for action and delivering quantifiable results
  • Detail-oriented with an eye for quality & accuracy
  • Stellar organization and project management skills, lending to the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
  • Experience with Learning Management System functionality

An ideal candidate also has:
