Scopely is looking for a Data Analyst to join our Strategic Analytics team in Barcelona on a hybrid basis working 2 days a week from the hub!

The Strategic Analytics team supports the Scopely portfolio by providing insights, reporting, knowledge-sharing, and KPI frameworks to strengthen the long-term health of each game.
What You Will Do
As a Data Analyst in the Strategic Analytics team, you will play a central role in helping game teams across our portfolio drive long-term game health. You will leverage data to uncover player behavior insights, shape KPIs, and develop scalable reporting and knowledge-sharing tools. Your work will empower cross-functional stakeholders to make more informed decisions and align strategy across diverse game genres.
- Analyze large, complex data sets representing the behavior of millions of online and mobile game players to address strategic and operational business questions
- Turning data into actionable insights that can support and drive impactful business decisions
- Provide insights about the health of our portfolio, both within and across genres, to drive business decisions across all key functions
- Contribute to the development of jaw-dropping dashboards to more effectively surface the group’s findings
- Develop frameworks, KPIs, models, and tools to help game teams improve and optimize LTV and loyaltyDevelop cross-portfolio analysis and reporting products, providing strategic alignment across the company and ensuring data influences decisions at all levels
What You Will Need
- Intellectual curiosity, analytical rigor, hard work, the ability to innovate and work independently, and good business intuition are musts!
- 2 or more years of experience as a Data Analyst, preferably at a top-tier institution or firm in an analysis, scientific, research, or consulting role
- Strong presentation and Storytelling skills; ability to communicate complex results throughout an organization
- Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
- Working knowledge of SQL and comfort working in large data sets – exposure to Bigquery is a plus
- Working Knowledge of visualization tools like Looker, Tableau, or Qlikview
- Python experience for data analysis
- Advanced knowledge of Excel/Google Spreadsheets
- B.S. (graduate degree a plus) from a top institution in a quantitative or scientific field (Math/Stats, Economics, CS, Engineering, Physics, or similar)
- A love or strong desire to work with mobile games
Bonus Points
- Prior experience working in the gaming industry is a plus, but not required
