Commercial Account Executive (CAE)

Job Purpose:

Generates IT (information technology) sales and business, develops relationships with new clients, makes sales meetings and presentations from the beginning to the end, maintains advanced knowledge of solutions and services, and establishes and meets sales goals.

IT Sales Job Duties:

  • Engages daily with prospects (e.g. IT-Departments, Line of Business, CxO) via mail, phone and video conferences
  • Assesses client IT- and Digital-transformational needs and makes recommendations
  • Gains familiarity with the IT industry, and stays updated on trends and innovative products
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders (e.g. Sales Engineering, Marketing, Channel) as well as 3rd-parties (e.g. business partners)
  • Generates pipeline, negotiates sales and closes deals with focus on recurring revenue
  • Establishes sales goals, forecasts and implements a plan to meet those goals
  • Tracks progress toward goals and documents sales performance
  • Supports the sales team and shares best practices

Job-Related Profile:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Business, Science or Engineering
  • Fluency in German (Native) and advanced (Business-Level) in English - written and verbal
  • Sales experience (full-sales-cycle) of at least one year
  • Experience in/with a high-paced tech industries (e.g. Startups, Software)
  • Experience with or knowledge of the German Mittelstand (mid-market-segment)
