Enterprise Network Engineer
The Network Engineer is responsible for the design, delivery, and operation of global, high-value network services to support Snowflake's growth. This role involves end-to-end network lifecycle management, from greenfield office builds to day-to-day operations and security.
Responsibilities:Project & Design
Architect and deploy network infrastructure for new office locations, including LAN, WLAN, and WAN connectivity.
Lead the installation and configuration of network devices such as switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
Collaborate closely with external vendors (ISPs, OEMs), internal teams (Workplace Services), and project stakeholders to ensure seamless site delivery.
Develop and maintain global network standards for our campus, wide-area, and cloud networks.
Operations & Automation
Troubleshoot and resolve network incidents, including those escalated from our Service Desk and monitoring systems for both on-premises and cloud environments.
Execute routine changes like OS upgrades, routing updates, and firewall rule modifications to support ongoing projects.
Identify opportunities for automation and develop scripts or code to streamline repetitive network functions.
Required Skills and Experience:
5+ years of hands-on experience as a Network Engineer in a global IT environment.
Proven expertise in designing, deploying, and managing network infrastructure for new office locations.

Deep technical proficiency in:
Campus LAN: Cisco Catalyst switching and routing.
Network Security: Palo Alto Networks Firewalls (including Panorama and GlobalProtect), and Zscaler.
Wireless: Aruba Wireless LAN (Central, Ekahau, Hamina).
Cloud Networking: Administration of Network infrastructure in AWS and/or Azure.
Strong understanding of routing and switching protocols, wireless technologies, and Next-Generation Firewall (NGFW) concepts.
Experience with centralized network performance monitoring and management tools.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
Experience with automation frameworks such as Ansible, Python, and/or Terraform.
Familiarity with DNS, DHCP, and IPAM (DDI) technologies.
Working knowledge of the ITSM framework.
Willingness to travel for short durations for project deployments and to participate in off-hours troubleshooting calls.
