THE ROLE:

The Geo Leader of EMEA Services Delivery (Professional Services) reporting to the VP of Global Services Delivery, will work with leadership to set a clear and ambitious vision while thinking holistically about how our vision will impact the greater company. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of Snowflake’s Services Delivery department. You will focus on creating outcome focused solutions that address our Customer’s most complex challenges. This includes standards, processes and pricing for existing and future customer engagements, as well as establishing and measuring performance against value metrics to articulate the impact of the services organization on broader Snowflake objectives.

As we become an increasingly global company, you will play an important role as a leader and culture carrier in helping us standardize Snowflake delivery and services globally, while creating the space necessary for nuances inherent to EMEA’s localities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Vision & Thought Leadership

  • Be a change agent and drive our mission to evolve to an outcome-focused services model.

  • Provide executive thought leadership - internally and externally - for Service Delivery strategy, approach and activities to ensure alignment with broader company objectives and industry best practices.

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Partner closely with Sales and Solutions Engineering to define customer adoption, growth and success strategies aligned to Snowflake business objectives.

  • Immerse in the Product to understand current and future capabilities, and ensure the team is focused on Snowflake’s highest priority features and use cases; adapt focus regularly to stay aligned with Product strategy and evolution

  • Own the relationships with Customers and Snowflake Sales teams; be the single point of contact for Services Delivery’s success in the EMEA region

Business & Operational Excellence

  • Lead the business and operational elements of the EMEA Services Delivery team - from services sales to business investments to revenue and customer consumption.

  • Accountable for the entire EMEA book of business including bookings, revenue and margin. This involves:

    • Managing these metrics flawlessly

    • Delivering on broader Snowflake objectives including driving adoption of the platform, reducing time to go live and realizing efficiency gains.

    • Providing thought leadership on how to create in-depth technical solutions that solve complex Customer challenges and leverage a fixed fee / milestone based commercial model

    • Leading the team to discover repeatable patterns in delivered solutions to create packaged offerings that can be delivered at scale by other teams at Snowflake and/or by Partners

Team Leadership

  • Build and continuously innovate to maintain a high-performing team that scopes high impact solutions aligned to the highest priority product / consumption areas for Snowflake

  • Coach and enable the team to shift from a focus on maximizing services bookings to an “outcomes” focus that relies on deep technical discovery and creation of well-scoped Customer specific solutions

  • Ensure a seamless transition into Delivery, engaging Delivery resources as needed; stay on point through Delivery to ensure successful delivery of services, and hold the Delivery team accountable for delivering to the committed outcomes.

  • Be the commercial owner of Delivery engagements, facilitating across Customer, Sales and Delivery team to resolve any commercial challenges and protect the delivery of the outcome.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 15+ years in a professional service environment with a focus in Data and AI Cloud solutions.

  • Consultant and mentor with deep (hands-on preferred) experience in Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, Big Data , Cloud Infrastructure, Data Engineering and AI Solutions.

  • 10+ years of leadership experience, managing a PS team in a high growth environment

  • Data driven and keen ability to drive efficiency and “do more with less”

  • Mix of selling capabilities and enough technical depth to hire and develop Technically oriented sellers; at ease with Technical positioning, scoping and aligning services solutions to outcomes (technical, business and strategic) with minimal reliance on Technical resources (architects, specialists, etc.)

  • Ability to combine entrepreneurial spirit, change agent mentality, business, technical and customer interfacing skills

  • Proven success in building teams with a focus on optimizing performance, engagement and productivity

  • Executive level communication with customer facing experience and confident in presenting both technical solutions and business impact

  • Proven and consistent track record of building teams and delivering customer engagements

  • Strong program, project, and process management skills; preferably project management certified
