What you’ll Do:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and workflows using Snowflake as the core data platform.
• Implement efficient data ingestion, transformation, and modeling processes to support analytics and business intelligence needs.
• Optimize Snowflake performance through query tuning, resource management, and cost control strategies.
• Develop and maintain well-structured data models that enable high-performance querying and reliable data access.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into effective data solutions.
• Ensure data quality, reliability, and compliance with governance standards, including GDPR and internal policies.
• Implement monitoring and observability for data pipelines to proactively detect and resolve issues.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of data engineering practices, bringing fresh ideas for automation and scalability.
• Stay up to date with emerging data technologies and best practices, particularly within the Snowflake ecosystem.
  

The Ideal candidate will have:

• Hands-on experience with Snowflake (data warehousing, performance tuning, security, and cost optimization).
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with ETL/ELT tools (e.g., dbt, Airflow, or similar).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and data integration tools.
• Strong understanding of data modeling principles and analytics workflows.
• Knowledge of data governance and compliance standards.
• Experience with Python or other scripting languages for data processing.
  

Qualifications Required:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering, with a strong track record of building scalable and maintainable data solutions.
• Agile knowledge would be an advantage
  
  

Location and Travel:
(Dublin)

• Hybrid role - Dublin City Centre, Ireland.
• Our Dublin City Centre offices are located less than 3 mins for Pearse St Dart Station and beside the Alex Hotel, making it accessible for all major transport.
• We also offer flexible start/ end times, allowing your schedule to suit your lifestyle
• Note: Regrettably we cannot offer work permit sponsorship for this role .To be considered, you must currently be based in Ireland and already hold the necessary legal permissions to work here.
