The role

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Credit Support Specialist to ensure the accuracy and integrity of customer credit information reported to credit bureaus. This role involves investigating and resolving discrepancies in credit reports, handling customer disputes, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. The role will be a 4 months FTC contract on a part time basis.

Day to day responsibilities

Review customer credit reports to identify and correct inaccuracies and errors promptly.
Manage and resolve customer disputes regarding credit report discrepancies effectively and professionally.
Adhere to credit reporting regulations (e.g., FCA, GDPR) to maintain compliance in correction processes.
Communicate clearly and courteously with customers regarding credit report corrections and dispute resolutions.
Ensure accurate and updated customer credit information is reported to credit bureaus.
Maintain detailed records of correction activities and customer interactions

We're looking for...

Experience working a CRA-related customer service role.
Ability to review and analyse credit reports to identify inaccuracies and errors.
Effective in resolving customer disputes related to credit report discrepancies.
An individual with remarkable attention to detail, who can spot trends/new issues/incidents with ease.
An individual who can pick up on these factors and implement resolutions at the earliest possible stage.
Clear and professional communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with customers and internal stakeholders.
Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in correcting credit information and maintaining data integrity.
Ability to manage and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Capability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve correction goals.

Bonus Skills:

Knowledge of major credit reporting agencies (e.g., Equifax, Experian, TransUnion) and their roles in collecting and maintaining consumer credit information.
An understanding of credit reporting regulations (e.g., FCA, GDPR) and compliance requirements.
