About the role.
The SVP, Credit, Fraud and Collections is a key senior leader responsible for shaping and executing the Zilch's end-to-end strategy across credit risk, fraud prevention, and collections. Operating within a regulated environment, and reporting directly to the Chief Product Officer, this role ensures our credit practices are not only commercially effective, but also compliant, resilient, and customer-centric.This is a high-impact position at the intersection of data science, product innovation, and risk management. Day to day responsibilities.
- Strategic Leadership: Own and drive our credit, fraud and collections strategy across all products and customer segments, ensuring strong performance, customer outcomes, and regulatory alignment.
- Team Leadership: Lead and grow a high-performing team across credit strategy, fraud analytics and collections optimisation; foster a culture of experimentation, accountability and high-integrity decisioning.
- AI-Driven Decisioning: Champion the use of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and predictive modelling to power real-time credit decisions, fraud prevention, and treatment strategies across the customer lifecycle.
- Risk Oversight: Act as the steward of the firm’s credit and fraud risk profile, ensuring alignment with the firm’s risk appetite, regulatory expectations, and funding requirements.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product, Data, Engineering, Finance, Operations, and Compliance to embed intelligent, automated, and explainable decisioning into the core platform and processes.
- Collections Strategy: Define and deliver a customer-focused, data-led collections and recoveries approach that drives portfolio outcomes while meeting conduct and compliance standards.
- Governance & Representation: Represent Credit & Risk strategy at Executive Committee level, while engaging with regulators, debt providers, and investors.
- Vendor & Ecosystem Management: Oversee key strategic partnerships across data, fraud tooling, collections technology and bureau relationships; ensure vendors align with regulatory and commercial requirements.
We're looking for...
- Experienced leader with deep expertise in credit and fraud strategy within a technology-led, regulated financial services or fintech environment.
- Proven experience driving commercial and risk performance through data science, AI/ML, and real-time infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of UK regulatory frameworks (e.g. FCA, CONC, affordability, TCF) and their practical application to lending and collections.
- Confident communicator with a track record of Board-level engagement and stakeholder management.
